Dunblane New Golf Club: Infirmary Trophy.

Stewart Sheridan (16) lifted the Trophy with a 64 with a steady round of 8 pars, 9 bogeys and a single double bogey at 17.

Four players returned a best Scratch score of 73 but the winner was Iain Rogers with a level par Inward Half ahead of Colin Graham, Neil Panton and Andrew Grant.

Colin Graham (7) had the consolation of winning the First Class on 66 with birdies at 4, 13 and 16. Runner up was Hunter McKay (11) on 67 which included 4 penalty shots for two lost balls but was highlighted with a birdie 3 at 17. Third spot went to David Webster (6) on 68 with birdies at 1, 4 and 18. Neil Panton (4) then edged fourth on 69 and a BIH, including a birdie at 18, than Mike Bell (8).

The Second Class was won by Ian Cochrane (12) on 67 despite finishing with 3 bogeys. Runner up was Fraser Oliver (16) who spoilt his round by dropping 7 shots over the last 3 holes. Third place went to Club Captain John Currie (12) on 69 and BIH, including birdies at 10 and 16, than Hugh MacLennan (12) who dropped 4 shots over 15 and 16.

In the Third Class Craig Wilson (21) won on 68 and BIH highlighted by a birdie at 12 than Andrew Thomson (22). Third place went to Peter Gittins (21) on 69 and BIH, including a birdie at 10, than Andrew Pilkington (18).

Jeff Bryan (17) had a hole in one at the 7th.

There was a full field of 151 for the Seniors Open.

Winner of the Muirhead Memorial Trophy repeating his success in 2014 was Stuart Kerr (Dunblane New) on 64 off his handicap of 12.

In the first Age group the Scratch honours went to Mark Williamson (Dunkeld & Birnam) on 74 and the best Handicap was Gordon Whitelaw (5) from Dunblane New on 66.

In the middle Age group Tommy Green (Dunblane New) won the Scratch on 76 with Robert Jackman (13) from Mortonhall winning the handicap on 67 and BIH than John Currie (12) from Dunblane New.

In the “old boys” Age group Bruce Hunter (Stirling) had the best Scratch Score of 78 and BIH with Robert Watson (11) from Dunblane New taking the handicap honours on 66.

The August Midweek Medal is on Wednesday (3rd).

Next weekend is the Monthly Medal.

The A G Kinnes Invitation Fourball is on Sunday 7th and a number of tee times after 11.30 are available.
