Kurtis Roberts has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week.

The midfielder was awarded a place by Craig Fowler from The Terrace for his outstanding performance against Hamilton on Saturday.

Fowler went for a 4-3-3 formation in his Team of the Week, with Roberts sitting in defensive midfield.

During his description of each of the players he has chosen, Fowler praised Alloa's form and in particular Roberts' sublime strike.

He said: "Alloa are now just seven points off second place in the cinch League 1 table after defeating Hamilton Accies 2-1 at New Douglas Park.

"Roberts, who has been in excellent form lately, netted Alloa's first in another strong showing."

Alongside Roberts in Team of the Week is former Wasp Jay Hogarth, who produced some excellent saves in Dumbarton's 2-1 win over Stranraer.
